Are postpartum nursing pads necessary?

Published by Dailys 2024-03-06

We all know that mothers are generally weak after giving birth to their babies, and it is too late to recover quickly. During the puerperium, there are also some special situations in the body, such as vaginal bleeding, which may not stop until the first menstrual period after childbirth. So is it necessary to use nursing pads during the puerperium?

The answer to this question is yes. Vaginal bleeding in the puerperium is different from the usual menstrual period, and the amount is larger than that in the menstrual period, so ordinary sanitary napkins cannot be satisfied. In this case, a special puerperium nursing pad is required. The puerperium nursing pad is based on the physical characteristics of the puerperium, and its material and design are much higher than ordinary sanitary napkins, reducing the possibility of vaginal infection of the puerperium, allowing the puerperium to spend the puerperium comfortably, which is conducive to the recovery of the body after childbirth.

Generally speaking, it is enough for a mother to prepare a pack of puerperium nursing pads, and there are about ten pieces in a pack. Everyone's physical condition is different, some mothers may not use up one pack, while some may need two packs. If after a week or two, the discharge of lochia gradually decreases, you can also use ordinary sanitary pads instead.
