Published by Dailys 2024-03-06

Women are in the confinement period within 42 days after giving birth. During this time, expectant mothers must sit the confinement well, otherwise there will be some small problems of low back pain and leg pain in the later stage. During the confinement period, women's bodies will gradually discharge lochia. Women should treat lochia correctly. It is good for women's body to discharge lochia as soon as possible. So what are the ways to deal with postpartum lochia?

1.Proper exercise

Proper exercise after childbirth can eliminate lochia. Many people recommend bed rest when confinement. It can also prevent the formation of postpartum blood clots and blood stasis.

2. Side lying position

Women who choose the lateral position during sleep can avoid the backward tilt of the uterus, and it is also conducive to the elimination of lochia, and should avoid lying on the back.

3. Careful care

If it is a woman who gave birth naturally, it will generally recover well after giving birth, so you can get out of bed 24 hours after giving birth, or you can drink some brown sugar water as instructed by the doctor, which has the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. It can promote uterine contraction and recovery, and also promote lochia discharge.

4. Seek medical attention in a timely manner

If a woman has bloody lochia for more than three weeks, or if the lochia is not discharged smoothly, she needs to seek medical attention in time. At this time, an infection may develop, which can lead to poor uterine recovery.
